Relationship
The Relationship level may sound trivial, but all too many leaders (especially in Western cultures) bypass it altogether and try to get right down to business.

Those who do appreciate its importance often think that having a beer (or a few) with colleagues after hours is enough.

True
Relationship goes much deeper: it’s about building partnership and trust with the allies you need to get the job done.

The broader and deeper your
relationships, the higher and more sustainable you can build the Pyramid (i.e., your desired accomplishment). By contrast, if you have a tiny base of Relationship, your Pyramid and accomplishments will be tiny too.

So how do you build
relationships of trust, shared values, and shared commitments?

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.
I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other” doesn't make any sense.
